Сюжет фильма: Этот фильм рассказывает о 13-летнем мальчике по имени Энди Никол, которого учитель английской литературы мистер Саймон ставит в пару с "Большим Джи", длинным, рыжеволосым одноклассником, главным объектом насмешек всей школы. Когда Энди видит, как "Биг Джи" бесстрашно вступается за девушку и противостоит грубой силе, он меняет к нему своё отношение. Фактически этот эпизод переворачивает его жизнь, а также жизни "Большого Джи" и их учителя мистера Саймона. К удивлению Энди, "Большой Джи" оказывается умным, добрым, терпимым и достойным человеком.
